Psalm 23: The Lord is my Shepherd

[1]The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want

[2]He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters

[3]He restores my soul. he guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

[4]Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me ; your rod and staff they comfort me

[5]You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows

[6]Only goodness and kindness love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Farewell Prayer
--------
God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

Amen.

God Promises to Heal  the Sick

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you

and that you may be in good health,

as it goes well with your soul.

3 John 2

And as Jesus passed on from here, two blind men followed him, crying aloud,

“Have mercy on us, Son of David.”

When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and

Jesus said to them,

“Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

They said to him,

“Yes, Lord.”

Then he touched their eyes, saying,

“According to your faith be it done to you.”

And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them,

“See that no one knows about it.”

But they went away and spread his fame through that entire district.

Matthew 9:27-31

When the entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, appealing to him,

“Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.”

And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

The centurion answered and said,

Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof,

but only say the word and my servant will be healed.

Matthew 8:5b-8

And he came down with them and stood on a level place,

with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea

and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon,

who came to hear him and to be healed with their diseases.

And those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured.

And the entire crowd sought to touch him,

for power came out from him and healed them all.

Luke 6:17-19

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;

save me, and I Shall be saved,

for you are my praise.

Jeremiah 17:14

For I will restore health to you,

and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 30:17

Christmas Song

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

Mary's Boy Child Song

xmastree.jpg

Hi, Family! I wish you all a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

LET US BRING CHRIST BACK TO CHRISTMAS

It is Christmas once again.  One need not go far to have his senses filled with the air of the season.  Everywhere we go, we hear stereos, boom boxes, and karaoke joints, playing in full-blast, modern Christmas songs.  Department stores, super markets, and even our homes are replete with Christmas decors: multi-colored electric bulbs, Christmas trees and gigantic lanterns that are characteristics of the season. Most of our homes too, especially the stately mansions are filled with luxurious foods and drinks: lechon, ham, relleno, Fundador, Carlos Primero, Chievas Regal and others, all proud reminders of ostentatious ness.

There seems to be no let-up of schedules for teeners too:  picnics here and there, discoramas, jam sessions, parties and everything. We have every reason to rejoice and be happy for the day celebrates the happiest of occasions, the birth of the Savior the Infant Christ.

But amidst these merry-makings and ostentatious display of wealth, have we tried to analyze what Christmas really means? As we are on our way to a picnic or a discorama joint, have we tried to look at the young kids, thin and emaciated, scraping at garbage piles, looking for some discarded bottles and other “bric-a-bracs” that could be sold for a few centavos, so that they can bring home one “pan de sal” for their ailing, widowed mother? Or, have we tried to ponder deep at the plight of the unfortunate victims of the disastrous calamities that had beset our country one after another recently, and thought of how best we can alleviate the sufferings of the poor survivors? Or, have we tried to smile at our neighbor with whom we have not been on speaking terms, hinting to bring back peace and camaraderie, after some years of animosities?

All these give us more reasons to analyze what Christmas really means.  When God sent us His only begotten Son as our Savior, He showed His love to us.  Christ was born to bring back peace and goodwill to men.  Christmas, therefore, means Love and Peace and Brotherhood. So let us bring back Christ to Christmas.  Let us live with humility, for Christ is humble.  Let us live with love, for Christ is love.  Let there be peace on earth and goodwill to men.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
