Psalm 23: The Lord is my Shepherd

[1]The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want

[2]He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters

[3]He restores my soul. he guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

[4]Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me ; your rod and staff they comfort me

[5]You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows

[6]Only goodness and kindness love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Farewell Prayer

God our Father,
Your power brings us to birth,
Your providence guides our lives,
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together again in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

God Promises to Heal the Sick

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

And as Jesus passed on from here, two blind men followed him, crying aloud,

“Have mercy on us, Son of David.”

When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and

Jesus said to them,

“Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

They said to him,

“Yes, Lord.”

Then he touched their eyes, saying,

“According to your faith be it done to you.”

And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them,

“See that no one knows about it.”

But they went away and spread his fame through that entire district.

Matthew 9:27-31

When the entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, appealing to him,

“Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.”

And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

The centurion answered and said,

Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof,

but only say the word and my servant will be healed.

Matthew 8:5b-8

And he came down with them and stood on a level place,

with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea

and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon,

who came to hear him and to be healed with their diseases.

And those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured.

And the entire crowd sought to touch him,

for power came out from him and healed them all.
