To continue building the Family Tree, I suggest that each of us shall write down the names of the members of our immediate families, our sons and daughters, their husbands or wives, their children, etc. We should also include two extra branches representing the siblings who were born out of wedlock. Then we will join these all together, just like a jigsaw puzzle. When completed, this will be one of the features of our website.

WHAT ABOUT THE RICARDOS, THE PEREZES?

HOW ARE WE RELATED TO THEM?

My son, Anthony, asked me during one birthday party gathering: “How are

we related to the Perezes, like Manong Romeo?

“Uncle Romeo, kunam,” I said. “Agkapiddua kami, he is my second cousin.”

Now, I come to think of it, since we have started digging into our

roots, putting on the pieces of this jigsaw puzzle, (I mean the

Santos-Palting Clan), let us also start putting on the pieces of the

Ricardo side of the clan.  The Ricardos constitute a very formidable

part that helps define the nobility of the Santos, Ricardo, Palting Clan.

So let me start the ball rolling…

In the beginning . . . . . . . . . . (Kasla Biblia, Apo.)   there were

two sisters:  Marta Palting and Catalina Palting.  (I think t

heir mother was a Bonoan or a Ruiz (?), I’m not sure.  Can

 someone help us dig further?)

Marta got married to Bernardino Santos whose roots came from

Bulacan and Pangasinan.  Catalina got married to Alejo Ricardo,

 a pure bred Laoaguenio.

ALEJO RICARDO AND CATALINA PALTING

Bore the following children:

I.             CLETA RICARDO – She never got married.

II.           LEONOR RICARDO married MACRINA BAYACA

They had one daughter,  Dr. Marilyn (Catalina) Ricardo married to

Dr. Ortiz.  They also had an adopted daughter, Merle Bayaca Ricardo

                           married to Mario Tayamen.

When uncle Onor was widowed, he married Allen Pagurayan.

The Second nuptial bore them no children, but the couple adopted a boy,

           a grandson of Allen’s sister.

III.        LOURDES RICARDO married to NICANOR PEREZ

CHILDREN:

                   1.  Twins, two boys who died at birth.

                   2.  ALMA PEREZ   married to Reggie Cuyugan

                   3.    AURORA PEREZ married to EXEQUIEL OCAMPO, JR.

                   4.    ELENA PEREZ married to ARTHUR GAOIRAN

                   5.    DANILO PEREZ married to JOSIE UCLUSIN

                   6.   EVELYN PEREZ married to DAN BALBO

                   7.    MARIETTA PEREZ married to RUBEN OCAMPO

                   8.    ANTONIO PEREZ married to __________________

And after he got divorced, married  Josie ____?______

( correction from Evelyn ..it says..  Tony Perez married

Lorene Cheng and re-married Cecille Pascual first daughter

is Sheryl and then with Cecille  Candice and Tony (Anthony

                        Perez )

                   9.    ROMEO PEREZ married CELIA SANTOS

                10.    MARLON PEREZ married JENNIFER Venago, daughter of

Linda Venago- the grand daughter of the late Socorro Madarang

When Lolo LIKO was widowed, he married Lola Turang,

BUENAVENTURA SAMPAYAN, and together, they bore two boys:

IV.        TELESFORO RICARDO married  JOSIE __________________

V.          ARTEMIO RICARDO married ROSITA ___________________

Now, I have started a draft of this part of our family history.  This will probably open the floodgates for our cousins to come pouring in and fill in the blanks and correct some of the erroneous entries I made.

                                             What do you think, KABBAGYAN?
