I would like to inform you that Aunti Puring has been
admitted at the St. Ross Hospital in Hayward since Monday for
observation. An andiogram was performed this morning to check
if she can go home Friday. The test results indicated that 2
of the arteries leading to her heart have partial
blockade. The doctor's preliminary suggestion is to give her a
by-pass to alleviate the blockade or continue her medication for
thinning the blood. These options are very difficult and Peter
is asking everyone's opinion. I discussed the situation with
manong Val and we both agreed that there is not much of a choice to
make. Given her age (85), she might not be able to
handle surgery. On the other hand, she can continue to
take the medication and not perform any surgery.
However, the doctor said that if a full blockade occurs in the
arteries, she may just pass on. A very difficult predicament
for everyone. We asked for your opinion and let us all pray
(hard) for a her recovery.
Peter just went upstairs to see Auntie
Puring in her room to tell her about the doctor's
prognosis. I will keep you posted. Peter is aware that
he is not going to make any decision without our
input.
